Curtis Ranck is a Chester County native and an alumnus of Lancaster Mennonite High School. During high school Ranck was a three-time varsity letterman and helped lead the team to a 2010 district championship as well as two appearances in state playoffs. He was named All-Lancaster-Lebanon League for two consecutive years.

From high school, Curtis was recruited to compete at Division II Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. At Cedarville, Ranck was the starting goalkeeper where he posted a 10-3-3 record with six shutouts, a 0.90 goals against average and allowed only seven goals in his final 12 outings with a 0.56 GAA during that timespan. He surrendered just one score in his final 400 minutes.
Also during his collegiate career Curtis had the opportunity to travel to Thailand where he competed against professional and collegiate teams for two weeks. Previously, Curtis coached clinics and camps for middle and high school aged boys and girls at Cedarville University.
