Women's Indoor Track and Field

Whitney Savoy
- Title:
- Assistant Coach
In 2013-14, Savoy helped a great deal with both the cross country and track and field squads. The cross country team placed 12th at the PSAC Championship and 15th at the NCAA Atlantic Regional. For track and field, the indoor team placed sixth out of 14 teams at the PSAC Championships and it was Millersville's best team finish in that event since 2008. The outdoor team did even better though. It finished third out of 14 teams at the PSAC Championships for the Marauders' best finish in the outdoor conference meet since 1996 when they won the event. Millersville also sent Kiara Allen to the NCAA Championships where she placed eighth in her heat of the 100-meter dash.
Whitney Savoy completed her eligibility as a Marauder track and field athlete following the 2012 outdoor season. She joined the staff as a student-assistant in 2012-13 while finishing her bachelor's degree in secondary education. She now assumes the role of the staff's intern, working with both the cross country team and the jumpers with the track team and field team.
As an athlete, Savoy finished sixth at the 2012 PSAC Outdoor Championships in the triple jump with a leap of 11.16 meters. She also took eighth in both the long jump and triple jump at the 2011 indoor championships.
