Strohecker and Messenger named PSAC East Athletes of the Week

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Millersville women's soccer team swept the Week 2 PSAC East Athletes of the Week honors as Aubrey Strohecker and Livia Messenger were recognized.
Strohecker has started her final year on a high note. The senior scored four goals over the past two games and completed her second hat trick of the season in Saturday's win over Mansfield. She now has seven goals through the opening four games and leads the PSAC in both goals and total points.
Messenger claimed her first Defensive Athlete of the Week honor following a strong effort last week. Messenger has been a key contributor on the Marauders' back line as they limited opponents to just seven shots across back-to-back shutout wins. The junior also added an assist on Saturday when she found Strohecker for the opening goal.
The Marauders return to action Wednesday night when they welcome Shippensburg for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
