Four Marauders hit PRs at Lock Haven Open

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Millersville University women's cross country team sent an 11-runner contingent to the 25th annual Lock Haven Open Saturday and finished in 20th place.Â
With a short week before Friday's Paul Short Run at Lehigh, the top of Millersville's lineup did not compete Saturday, and instead rested to be at 100% for the large, Division I race. Without the usual leaders at the front of the pack, freshman Grace DeBricida led the Marauders with an 89th place finish, running 24:12.Â
Caley Kuestner ran second second on the team, posting a PR 6K time of 25:38.5Â Brynne Metz also hit a PR with a time of 26:11.5. Livia Lighty finished in 26:30.5, followed by Madison Flickinger (26:53.7) and Isabel Consugar (26:56.2), rounding out Millersville's scoring.Â
"Overall, it was a good day," said Millersville head coach Andy Young. "They followed the race plan well. Our top runner today, Grace, had an outstanding day. I'm really happy with how things went."
Millersville returns to action Friday, Oct. 2 at the Paul Short Run, which is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.Â
