BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - Millersville women's cross country enters Saturday's PSAC Championship with high expectations and several runners capable of All-PSAC finishes. It is 12-runner lineup balanced with championship experience and exciting youth.Â
The 16-team championship 6K race is set for 11 a.m., at Bloomsburg's Upper Campus Course. The race was last held at Bloomsburg in 2023, and Millersville finished sixth. The Marauders had exposure to the course just two weeks ago, placing third out of seven teams at the Bloomsburg Invitational. Millersville finished behind defending PSAC champ East Stroudsburg and host Bloomsburg but ahead of IUP, Pitt-Johnstown and Mansfield. Bri Pollock, Millersville's top runner, finished just once second behind Alexis Tepper of Bloomsburg, who was the 2026 3,000-meter PSAC indoor champ and outdoor 1,500-meter runner up. Freshman Keira Reider impressed in the event as well, placing sixth, and Bella Ruefle played 15th.Â

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS
Millersville has finished in the top half of the PSAC Championship field three consecutive years, with two sixth-place finishes and an eighth-place finish in 2025. The last time Millersvilel strung together four consecutive top eight finishes was 2007-10 when the program was anchored by Millersville Hall of Fame runners Priscilla Jennings and Elicia Anderson. Only two of Millersville's top five 2025 finishers are back in 2026, but Pollock and Kira Chebishev, who earned All-PSAC honors in 16th and 18th place respectively, give the team two proven runners at the front of the pack.Â
The Marauders should be rested and ready. Pollock has run just one 6K this fall, and in the three meets she has run, she has finished no lower than third. Her 18:43 5K time at Franklin & Marshall on Oct. 8 was the fastest of her career. Chebishev has run the same schedule, and she led the team in the season opening win at the Dutchmen Invitational with a runner-up finish. Pollock is already a two-time All-PSAC runner, also placing 20th in 2024. She is attempting to be just the ninth Marauder in program history to be a three-time top-20 finisher and the first since Shannon Cruz in 2016.Â
Reider has been a pleasant surprise for the Marauders. She ran a 23:33.6 time at the Bloomsburg Invitational, and also finished third at the F&M event with a 5K time of 18:43.6. Ruefle started to come on strong at the end of the 2025 cross country season and peaked at the NCAA Regional, running a 23:28 for 84th. She continued to stack races across both track seasons and finished 13th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the PSAC Outdoor Championships.
Another freshman Delaney Schoeneberger ran fifth on the team at the Bloomsburg Invitational. Marissa Mounce missed the entire 2025 cross country season but finished 42nd in 2024 and was also in the lineup in 2023. Emma Armstrong placed 35th at the Bloomsburg Invitational, posted her best 5K time (20:10.5) at the Dutchmen Invitational, and is making her fourth PSAC Championship start. She placed 80th in 2025. Abby Bond, who finished 18th at the 2026 PSAC Championships steeplechase, finished 99th at the cross country championship last season but also finished 84th in 2023 and 89th in 2024.Â
Making their PSAC Championship debuts are Caley Kuestner, Grace DeBricida, Emma Guiher and Brynne Metz.Â
SCOUTING THE FIELD
It's challenging to peg Millersville's positioning because of so few full-strength, head-to-head meetings with PSAC teams this season, but having run with East Stroudsburg and Bloomsburg two weeks ago is a good indicator of a high finish since ESU won the 2025 championship and Bloomsburg finished third last year. According to the USTFCCCA Atlantic Region rankings, Edinboro is the favorite, followed by East Stroudsburg, West Chester, Shippensburg, Slippery Rock, Kutztown and Bloomsburg. Edinboro has held the top spot in the rankings for five consecutive weeks, and it is the program that won four straight PSAC titles from 2019-2022.Â
Four of the top five finishers from 2025 are expected to be in the field. Reigning champion, Emily Bowers of Gannon, has been out of action all season. Runner-up Olivia Magagna of Bloomsburg leads the returners. California's Rosalyn Perozzi, who finished third last season, won the 5K at the PSAC Outdoor Championships. In 2025, only three of the top 20 finishers were seniors, making the 2026 field loaded at the top.Â
