Millersville Athletics announces hiring of assistant athletic directors

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Millersville University Director of Athletics Kate Corcoran has announced the hiring of Trejon Dinkins '19/'22M and Tyler Jenkins '25M as assistant athletic directors for the department. Dinkins will serve as the assistant athletic director for academic success, and Jenkins is the assistant athletic director for operations.
The positions are new to the department, bolstering support for student-athletes' academic efforts, game day experience and daily operations. Dinkins will work closely with current associate director of athletics Larry Earnesty and focus on educational programming, academic progress, retention of student-athletes, develop academic improvement plans and monitor the student-athletes' academic performance. Jenkins is responsible for game day operations, facility management, scheduling and working as a liaison to campus departments and outside groups.
"We are excited to welcome back Tyler Jenkins and Trejon Dinkins to the Marauder family as we grow our department to better meet the needs of our coaches and student-athletes," said Corcoran. "Both are rising young professionals who will strengthen our team."
Dinkins and Jenkins both have ties to the University and professional experience in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. Dinkins played football and served as a team captain for the Marauders before graduating in 2019 and becoming a graduate assistant in the athletic department, working in event management and academic support. After the completion of his master's degree in sports management, Dinkins landed at Shippensburg as the student success coach and game management administrator. Since 2022, Dinkins has served as the director of the Raiders Academic Center for Student-Athletes, providing leadership for academic support services and contributing to the highest academic achievement metrics in the department's history. Dinkins has been active in professional development, speaking at the 2024 NACDA convention and serving as a facilitator at the 2025 Career in Sport Forum. He was also a 2023 NCAA Division II Award of Excellence Conference winner and national finalist.
"Trejon will lead the growth of our academic support services, working intentionally with our coaches to support our student-athletes' academic success," said Corcoran. "He comes to us from Shippensburg University where he ran the Seaber Raiders Academic Center for Student-Athletes and look forward the passion he brings to supporting student athletes academic success."
Jenkins earned his master's degree in athletic administration through Millersville in 2025 after serving as a graduate assistant in the athletic department for two years. In that role, Jenkins focused primarily on operations and game day management, working closely with coaches, serving as a postseason tournament director for PSAC and NCAA events, and overseeing a student staff. Most recently, Jenkins was the athletics events and facilities coordinator at PennWest Clarion, overseeing all facilities, scheduling, game day operations and coordinating with corporate partners and special events.
"Tyler returns to us after a year at Clarion, bringing not only familiarity with our department but also fresh ideas and renewed passion for serving our coaches and student-athletes," said Corcoran. "We look forward to growing our operations and effectiveness with him back on board."
