MILLERSVILLE, Pa. — Millersville University Athletics is making a long-term investment in its communications and storytelling efforts through a new multi-year agreement with FanWord, the leading AI technology & storytelling company in college sports.
As part of the agreement, the Marauders will implement FanWord Assist, an AI-powered communications platform built specifically for college athletics. The technology will support Millersville's communications staff across a variety of everyday responsibilities while creating more opportunities to showcase its student-athletes, coaches and programs.
FanWord Assist helps athletics communications teams efficiently create game recaps, feature stories, player bios, award nominations, transcriptions and other digital content. Built with extensive customization and editorial controls, the platform allows communicators to reduce the time spent on content workflows while maintaining ownership over the voice and quality of everything they publish.
"Millersville's 450-plus student-athletes and our supportive alumni all have a story, and FanWord will help us share their successes and achievements,"Â said Millersville Director of Athletic Communications Ethan Hulsey. "FanWord is a trendsetter in collegiate athletics and helps us deliver exciting content to our fans quickly. We are excited to join forces with FanWord."
Millersville joins a growing network of more than 250 athletics organizations across all levels of college sports using FanWord Assist to strengthen their communications operations, including Edinboro, Clarion, Robert Morris, Old Dominion, Westminster, and Lycoming.
"Millersville has a proud tradition and a lot of people and moments worth celebrating,"Â said Chris Aumueller, CEO of FanWord. "We're excited that the Marauders have chosen to make FanWord part of their long-term approach to storytelling, and we look forward to supporting their communications team for years to come."
The multi-year agreement gives Millersville a resource that can support both the daily demands of athletics communications and the deeper stories that build connections with fans, alumni and the university community. From game-day coverage to student-athlete accomplishments beyond competition, FanWord Assist will help the Marauders make storytelling a more consistent part of their communications strategy.
