ABOUT THE GAME

The Marauders enter the 2026 PSAC Tournament as the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Division. Their first-round challenge takes them to Koehler Fieldhouse in East Stroudsburg, Pa., to face off against the No. 3-seeded East Stroudsburg University Warriors. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
Millersville (12-15, 8-13 PSAC) looks to regain its mid-season momentum following a challenging February stretch. Meanwhile, East Stroudsburg (17-11, 12-9 PSAC) enters the contest looking to defend their home court, where they have proven to be a strong opponent throughout the 2025-26 campaign with an 8-5 win record at home.

GAME STORYLINES

The primary storyline heading into Monday’s clash is that it is the rubber match between these two programs in the 2025-2026 season, wiht both teams splitting the regular season series against one another. Here is how the previous two matchups shook out, with their last meeting being over a month ago.
- January 7, 2026 (Millersville 73, ESU 66): In the first meeting at Pucillo Gymnasium, the Marauders utilized a dominant second quarter (25-16) and sharp perimeter shooting (47.4% from three) to secure a seven-point victory. Millersville’s defensive pressure forced 12 turnovers, and a balanced scoring attack led by Morgan Mahoney, Carley Berk, Daniella Ranieli, and Kelly Cleaver helped fight off a late Warrior rally.
- January 31, 2026 (ESU 81, Millersville 54): The script flipped entirely when the Marauders traveled to East Stroudsburg. The Warriors put on a defensive clinic and found their rhythm early, outscoring Millersville in every quarter. ESU’s Brie Droege and Lacie Kringe proved to be too much for the Marauder defense, as the Warriors cruised to a 27-point win, which ultimately secured them the higher seed and home-court advantage for this playoff opener.
For Millersville, the key will be rediscovering the offensive efficiency and glass-cleaning presence of Bryn Zentner and Morgan Mahoney that characterized their early-January winning streak. In ESU's case, they will rely on the home crowd and a defensive unit that held the Marauders to just 54 points in their last meeting.
As of recently, the Warriors picked up a big win over West Chester to solidify their seed in the tournament, but this one should prove to be a close game with the Marauders looking to make some waves and shake up the playoff picture.

The rivalry between Millersville and East Stroudsburg is one of the most storied in the PSAC East, reaching its 101st meeting this Monday. Historically, the Marauders have held the upper hand in the all-time series, though the Warriors have gained ground recently, currently holding a two-game win streak in their home arena.
