MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Fresh off the announcement of former Millersville quarterback Drew Folmar becoming the Marauders' new football coach, we sat down with Coach Folmar to learn more about his vision for the program, what led him back to a school that he has always considered home, and what his first 30 days will look like as the Millersville head coach.
The Class of 2013 Hall of Fame inductee explains that coaching was his ultimate goal and a job at his alma mater was a no-brainer. We talk about how the position not only impacts him, but his family and how the resilience and support of his wife, Heather, whom he met at Millersville, has played a huge part in the success of his coaching journey.
We also cover the legendary coaches that Folmar has been associated with not only in his playing career, under Hall of Fame coach Gene Carpenter, but also his association with national championship bound coach Curt Cignetti, both of which heavily shaped his coaching philosophy and how he carriers himself as a husband, a father, and a head coach. He will also touch on how his relationship with his father helped shape his career identity and his ultimate goal.
