MILLERSVILLE, Pa, - The women's soccer team earned a victory over Mansfield, marking their fourth consecutive win and their first such streak since 2019.

Millersville controlled possession for the majority of the game, prioritizing ball management and finding lanes to put shots on goal. The Marauders' defense held their ground at midfield, working with the Millersville forwards to chip the ball over the Mansfield defense. Senior goalkeeper Sabrina Zimmerman had a quiet day, recording zero saves on zero shot attempts.

In the 20th minute, Isabel Coy scored the first goal unassisted, capitalizing on a ricocheted shot that landed at her feet and placing it into the net.

Ten minutes later, freshman Ashlyn Calabria recorded her first collegiate goal, assisted by Strohecker.

The first goal of the second half was scored by leading goal scorer Aubrey Strohecker, off an assist from Lia Francis.

Strohecker followed with her second goal of the game, finishing a cross from Nikki Tonello.

At the 74th minute, Brook Balliet scored her first collegiate goal, capitalizing on a saved shot attempt by Cali Questel.

Balliet scored her second goal, converting a blocked shot attempt by senior Peyton Yocum.

With today's win, that now four in a row - the team's longest winning streak since 2019. Can you talk about what's been working so well for the girls lately, and how you plan to carry that momentum into your upcoming matchup against nationally ranked Shepherd? "We've been much better on restarts, which will need to continue for us to continue finding results. Further more we haven't conceded as much as we had to start the year. We need to continue to be good defensively even more so against Shepherd. They're very good, especially in possession so we will need to defend very well.
Today was a good opportunity to work on different sets and ball management. Could you discuss the overall performance by the girls? "Today's game was very different given the situation Mansfield is in currently. Our mentality was key for me today. We were able to get a lot of players on today which allowed us to see somethings, so that was good.
