KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The Millersville women's golf team shot the fourth-lowest round of the two-day Millersville Fall Invitational at Berkleigh Golf Club on Tuesday, and it helped the team move up into fourth place.
Playing on the course that will host the 2026 PSAC Championship, the Marauders' 37-over day two score was a 14-shot improvement from the first round. It moved them one spot up the leaderboard. Sophomore
Sabrina Swope helped the Marauders climb with her career-low 18-hole score of 79. Her round included three birdies on the front nine. Swope finished 24th overall at 24-over--a score that set her 36-hole best by seven strokes.
Ashden Stitt also shot a 79 on Tuesday, matching her career low, placing her 15th.
Lex Pfeufer's 11-over 83 moved her four spots up the leaderboard for a 29th-place finish.
Sydney Barnes also jumped two spots with a 12-over second round, placing 31st. Freshman
Erica Gerner, who posted a team-low 78 on Monday, slipped slightly on Tuesday, but still managed a top-25 finish (22nd) at 22-over.
West Chester took the team title at 42-over, edging Adelphi by 15 shots. West Chester's Cara Murphy was the medalist after posting 9-over. Bloomsburg's Sophia Reed also provided a highlight, scoring a hole-in-one on the par-3 15th.
