INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Millersville University baseball is back in the NCAA Tournament for a 12th consecutive season, and the Marauders host No. 4 seed California (Pa.) and No. 5 seed Seton Hill from May 15-17 at Cooper Park as the No. 1 seed in the Atlantic Region.
Millersville, one of 56 teams from eight regions in the NCAA Tournament, earned an automatic qualifying berth by winning the PSAC Tournament at its home park and takes a 42-8 record into the regional. The winner of the double-elimination regional hosted by Millersville will face the winner of the West Chester regional in a best-of-three NCAA Super Regional on May 23-24. The West Chester site includes No. 3 seed East Stroudsburg and No. 6 seed Fairmont State, the automatic qualifier from the Mountain East Conference. As the No. 1 seed, Millersville will also host the super regional if it advances.
Millersville and California became very familiar in the PSAC Tournament, meeting three times, including twice in Saturday's PSAC Championship round. Millersville won two of three match-ups. Millersville and Seton Hill also played a 13-inning game in the semifinals. Millersville and Seton Hill have played 13 regional games since 2011, including two last season.
The Marauders already set a program record for home victories in a season, going 27-3. The 12th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance is the third-longest active streak in the nation, topped only by Tampa and Colorado Mesa. This is the fourth time since 2019 that Millersville has hosted a regional at Cooper Park and the seventh time that Coach Jon Shehan's club has been the No. 1 seed. In 2023, the Marauders won the regional and super regional with a 5-0 record on their way to the NCAA Championship Tournament. Shehan led Millersville to Cary, N.C., in 2011, 2016, and 2023.
The Atlantic Regional at Cooper Park starts with California against Seton Hill on Thursday at 11 a.m. Millersville plays the loser of that first game at 2 p.m.
