
Marauders in third after round one of PSAC Championship

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Led by Charley Kirby, the Millersville women's golf team closed the first of three PSAC Championship rounds in third place, eight shots behind leader Gannon.
Millersville posted a 332, six shots clear of fourth-place Kutztown and four behind second-place West Chester. Millersville's five golfers went out in the first groupings of the day, and Kirby and Gannon's Ditte Petersen set the pace. Peters opened with a 6-over 78 to jump to the top of the leaderboard. Kirby shot an 8-over 80 and is tied for third with a trio of golfers.
Freshman Sabrina Swope shot 11-over and sits in 12th. Lex Pfeufer (12-over), Amanda Wolf (13-over) and Emma Schotsch (14-over) all finished within a shot of each other and are placed in a grouping of 12 golfers between 14th and 20th place.
Round two of the PSAC Championship begins Saturday at 10 a.m. Millersville will be a part of the final wave of golfers.
