No. 12 Warriors quiet Marauders

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — East Stroudsburg claimed an 18–3 victory, holding Millersville to a season-low three goals.

The Warriors shut out the Marauders in the first and third quarters to build their lead, and East Stroudsburg's goalkeeper recorded 14 saves.

East Stroudsburg took a slow but early 3–0 lead after the first quarter. The Marauders created opportunities from five shots but were unable to find the back of the net.

"We came out hard and played well early, but the second quarter was tough," head coach Mike Faith said. "We had a few cards, and they capitalized on them. "

In the second quarter, Ashlyn Simonetti scored Millersville's first goal off an assist from Rachel Keeney, cutting the deficit to 3–1. The Warriors responded with three more goals before Keeney momentarily stopped their momentum with a score off a free-position attempt. However, East Stroudsburg closed the first half with five unanswered goals to lead 11–2.

Millersville struggled to find its rhythm in the second half, managing just nine shots and one goal. Meanwhile, the Warriors went on a seven-goal run to push the lead to 18–2. Kayleigh Dunn added a goal in the 55th minute, but the deficit was unattainable.

"Our shooting has been better, and we were taking low-percentage shots," said Faith. "The key to Wednesday is the draw, shot selection, and diving low percentage shots."

Millersville will host No. 14 Kutztown on Wednesday, April 23, at 4 p.m. to conclude its final home game of the 2025 season.
