Kirby follows win with PSAC Athlete of the Week honor

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Charley Kirby started the spring schedule with her second career win, and on Wednesday, she was named the PSAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.
Kirby placed first at the LVC Spring Invitational, shooting a 10-over 82, edging her teammate Amanda Wolf by two shots. The win was decided on her final hole, and she sank an approach shot from the fairway for an eagle on the 336-yard par-4 13th, breaking the tie with her teammate. Kirby bested a field of 50 other golfers, and her play led Millersville to a team win over nine teams, including two PSAC teams.
The win was Kirby's first of the 2024-25 season, but it was her second athlete of the week award. She previously won the award on Oct. 9, 2024.
