LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — After breaking the conference record in pole vault over the weekend at the Bison Open and Multi,
Darian Hauf was named PSAC Field Athlete of the Week.
Hauf bested a seven-year mark, previously held by Slippery Rock's Madeline Marshall, by clearing a height of 13-2 1/4. The senior accomplished the feat on her last attempt, making another entry for herself in both the conference and program record books. Hauf joined
Sunflower Greene '19 as the only other Marauder to currently hold a conference record, and also jumped up the NCAA Division II leaderboard from 19th place to a tie for 10th place.
This is Hauf's third time winning the PSAC Field Athlete of the Week award, her second this season after winning for a performance also at Bucknell University in the Bison Opener. Hauf is well-positioned to earn her second conference indoor championship and fourth All-PSACÂ finish before competing in her first NCAA Indoor Championships later this season.
Hauf and the Marauders will travel to New York City this weekend for the Fast Track National Invite, starting at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7 at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y..Â
