Millersville takes both PSAC East Athlete of the Week Honors

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference released its Athletes of the Week on October 13, with the Millersville men's soccer team earning both honors on the Eastern Division side. Redshirt junior Zander Leik was named Athlete of the Week, while redshirt freshman Gavin Massimi earned Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Leik has been on a strong run recently, scoring in three consecutive matches and in five of the last six contests. The redshirt junior recorded the opening goal in Wednesday's 2–1 win over Shepherd. He followed that performance by scoring the game-tying goal against No. 19 Bloomsburg on Saturday. Following that match, Leik now leads the Marauders with six goals on the season.
Massimi has been a crucial presence in goal for Millersville, recording seven saves while allowing only two goals over the past week. Following Saturday's match, his record moved to 5–1–2 for the 2025 season.
Millersville currently sits atop the PSAC East standings, tied with East Stroudsburg. The Marauders will look to take sole possession of first place when they host the Warriors on Saturday at 2 p.m.
