Marauders return home seeking a conference victory over the Warriors

ABOUT THE MATCH

After defeating Wilmington 3-1, the Marauders return back to Pucillo Field seeking a conference victory over the East Stroudsburg Warriors. The Millersville men's soccer program welcomes back program alumni for Alumni Day as they take on this challenging PSAC East opponent.

The Marauders opened the season voted first in the PSAC East and No. 24 nationally.
After six games, the Marauders sit a .500, 3-3 overall and 1-1 in conference.
Senior Richy Valverde leads the team in goals with four, two of those coming in the most recent victory over Wilmington. Freshman Matias Schmidt follows behind with two.
Travis Holiday and Jake Van Vorhees have split time in net this season, allowing eight goals on season and an average of 1.33 goals per game.

The Warriors concluded last season 8-3-6 overall and 4-3-5 in the PSAC East. The Warriors finished in fourth, just shy of the playoff berth.
So far this season, the Warriors remain undefeated, 3-0-2 overall and 1-0-1 in conference play.
The Warriors most recent victory came on Sep. 25 against the Lock Haven Bald Eagles. Junior, Cayetano Diaz scored the lone goal for the Warriors in the 11th minute of play. ESU held on to their 1-0 lead, earning their first PSAC East victory of the 2024 season.
Diaz leads the team in goals with three. Senior Ignasi Cucurella Tuset and freshman Ryan Kiernan follow behind with two goals each.

ESU leads the series 46-22-7.
The last meeting was Oct. 21 2023, which ended in a 2-1 victory for the Marauders.
The Marauders have not to the Warriors at home since Oct. 6 2021.
