Hauf earns spot at NCAA Division II Championships

EMPORIA, Kan. — Darian Hauf earned a spot at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships, as the pole vaulter was announced as one of the accepted athletes set to compete in Kansas later this month.
Hauf, the best pole vaulter in both indoor and outdoor program history, is headed to the NCAA Championships for the second straight year. The junior finished 12th last year with a jump of 12-7 1/2. This season, Hauf has improved on her record-breaking marks this year, entering the meet with a mark of 13-2 ¼, a height that also broke the meet record for the Millersville Metrics. Hauf finished the season tied for 11th in Division II and became the first Marauder in program history to win three consecutive conference championships in the same event as a junior.
Hauf will compete at 4 p.m. on May 23 in Emporia, Kan.
