
'Ville football announces fourth annual Wall of Honor class

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Fans are invited to join the Millersville University football team on Friday, April 26 and 27 for its annual Alumni Weekend, which includes the fourth annual Wall of Honor dinner and induction ceremony at Eden Resorts and the Dr. Gene A. Carpenter Alumni Golf Outing at Four Seasons Golf Club.
The Marauder greats joining the Wall of Honor in 2024 include Jim Harf (1957-60), Sandy Guilfoyle (1963-67, 1972-97), Harry Buskirk (1969-72), Chris Ciatto (1977-80), Luke Hadfield (1986-89), Greg Moylan (1993-96), Dondre Gilliam (1998-2000), and Adam Cobb (2005-08).
The ceremony will be held at Eden Resorts and Suites at 222 Eden Road in Lancaster, Pa., and starts with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m., with dinner following at 7 p.m. Tickets are $75. The Millersville football Wall of Honor started in 2021 with 11 honorees. All 32 football alumni who had been inducted into the Millersville Athletics Hall of Fame were also included in the first class. The selections are made by a committee alumni. A physical wall of honor is displayed next to the home locker room at Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium.
The Dr. Gene A. Carpenter Alumni Golf Outing is set for Saturday, April 27 with registration at 7 a.m., and a shotgun start at 8 a.m. It is $150 for a single golfer and $600 for a foursome. Greens fees and lunch are included. Sponsorships are also available. Click here for more information.
2024 MILLERSVILLE FOOTBALL WALL OF HONOR CLASS
Jim Harf (1957-60)
Jim Harf was a standout performer for the Marauders in the late 50's. He was a three-year starter on the Millersville offense at the end position and played both ways as a sophomore. Upon his graduation, Jim was awarded the "Who's Who" Award, the highest honor for a graduating senior at Millersville. He went to get a master's degree from University of Delaware and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Indiana University. In 1961, Jim took over as the head football coach at Bridgeville High School and served this role for four years. He spent most of his professional career as a professor at Ohio State University in the Department of Political Science. He was also heavily involved in America's National Security offers in Latin America, Russia, and Eastern Europe. Jim stayed close to the Marauder program following his graduation. He played a crucial role in the contribution of one of the largest donations to the Millersville Football scholarship fund. His efforts earned him the "Game Changers" Award.
Sandy Guilfoyle (1963-67, 1972-97)
Sandy was a standout for the Marauders as both a player and a coach. He graduated from Millersville with a biology degree and earned two master's degrees. In 1972, Sandy began his career as a coach for the Marauders. His coaching career lasted over two decades working under Coach Gene Carpenter. He was a member of five PSAC East Championship teams and two national playoff appearances. Sandy served as receivers coach, running backs coach, and offensive coordinator throughout his tenure on the Millersville sideline. After his time coaching for the Marauders, Sandy stayed connected to the program as a founding member and treasurer of the Gene Carpenter Foundation. He was also a recipient of the Jay Chryst Loyalty Award.
Harry Buskirk (1969-72)
Harry was a four-year starter as a lineman for the Marauders. He received several weekly ECAC nominations and played a crucial role in Coach Carpenter's first winning season in 1972. Harry was the 1998 recipient of the Dr. Gene A. Carpenter Outstanding Alumni Award. After graduation, Harry signed a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. He was one of only seven from a tryout of 400+ athletes to be selected to the roster. In 1974, he moved north and joined the New England Patriots for the 1974 season.
Chris Ciatto (1977-80)
Chris was a standout linebacker for the Marauders. He was a four-year starter under Coach Carpenter. Chris is currently in the Millersville record books, ranking second in career assisted tackles. During his senior season, Chris was named team captain. Chris was recognized for his production by being named All-PSAC in 1978 and 1980. He was also named All-ECAC in 1980. Chris has been a successful high school coach since his graduation. He is a Berks County Football Coaches Association 2019 inductee and a member of the Muhlenberg High School Hall of Fame.
Luke Hadfield (1986-89)
Luke is one of the most decorated kickers in Millersville Football history. As a four-year starter, Luke led the team in scoring in 1986 and 1987. He is currently third in the record books for career scoring. Luke kicked the game winning field goal in the 1988 playoff victory over IUP. For his production, Luke was Named All-PSAC four straight seasons. He was also three-time All-ECAC and Honorable Mention All-American during his career. Following his career at Millersville, Luke coached kickers throughout the state of Pennsylvania for 16 years. He is currently a Principal in the Central Bucks School District.
Greg Moylan (1993-96)
Greg was a standout quarterback for the Marauders. He was recognized for his success by being named All-PSAC at QB in 1995 and 1996. He was also named All-ECAC in 1995. He quarterbacked his team to a historic run that earned the program a PSAC East championship in 1995 and served as a team captain in 1996. Greg is in the Millersville record books as he currently ranks fourth in career passing yards (2,573 yards) and third in career completions (199).
Dondre Gilliam (1998-2000)
Dondre was a standout wide receiver during his time in the Black & Gold. He is in the record books at Millersville scoring nine touchdowns in a single season, ranking sixth all-time. He is also ninth in school history with 1,452 all-purpose yards. Dondre was a member of the 1999 PSAC Championship team. Dondre was awarded for his production being named All-ECAC in 1999 and All-PSAC in 2000. He was also named third team All-American in 2000 and selected to the D2 All-American Bowl. After his career at Millersville, Dondre went on to play for the San Diego Chargers from 2001-2004, including the 2002 season with the NFL Europe. He was also in the CFL with the Hamilton Tigercats in 2004. Following his playing career, Dondre came back to coach at Millersville for one season and spent 4-years on the sidelines at Mervo High School.
Adam Cobb (2005-08)
Adam was a three-year starter on the offensive line for the Marauders. During his time at Millersville, he was a team captain and two-time All-PSAC East First Team performer. Adam was also an All-Super Region One First team selection and an East Coast Bowl participant. He received the Carpenter Leadership Award for his first class leadership and work ethic. Following the completion of his playing career at Millersville, Adam spent two seasons as an offensive assistant coach for the Marauders. He then went on to coach five more seasons at Penn Manor High School.
