Two Marauders hit PSAC-qualifying marks on day one of Bison Outdoor Classic

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Millersville women's outdoor track and field team began competition at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic Saturday morning. Hannah Woelfling highlighted the Marauders competing with a fourth-place finish in the discus. The senior beat out several Division I competitors with a distance of 156-11. In addition, two Marauders hit PSAC qualifying marks.
Maddie Stebila and Sabela Zablackis traveled to Messiah to compete in the Messiah Invitational Heptathlon. Zeblackis finished with 3,585 points, while Stebila finished with 2,962 points.
DAY-ONE HIGHLIGHTS AT THE BUCKNELL BISON OUTDOOR CLASSIC
The Marauders will be back at Bucknell tomorrow morning for day-two of competition. Kaitlyn Leister and Kaycee McCullough will start 'Ville off at 10:45 a.m. in the mile.

DAY-ONE HIGHLIGHTS AT THE BUCKNELL BISON OUTDOOR CLASSIC
- Abbey Sullivan qualified for the PSAC Championship in the 3,000-steplechase with a time of 11:29. The junior placed 29th in a field filled with Division I athletes.
- Morgan Janiuk ran a PSAC-qualifying time of 18:18.55 in the 5,000-meter run.
- Hannah Sweda ran a personal-best 4:57.71 in the 1,500, just missing the PSAC qualifying time of 4:57.00.
- Maddy Downs competed in the event as well and edged out a number of Division I athletes, placing 10th. Downs recorded a distance of 136-6.
