
Holloman earns gold in 60-meter hurdles; Marauders finish sixth at PSAC Championships

De'Asia Holloman won Millersville's first-ever title in the 60-meter hurdles
LEWISBURG, Pa. – De'Asia Holloman started day-two of the 2023 PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championships with Millersville's first-ever title in the 60-meter hurdles. Holloman finished with a personal-best time of 8.90 second, edging out Shippensburg's Sasha Lee who recorded an 8.92. The junior finished with silver during the last two indoor championships. Holloman's top finish earned 10 points for the Marauders who ended the two-day event in sixth place with a total of 54 points. Shippensburg finished atop the field of women's teams with 111 points, Edinboro followed in second with 94.5 points and Slippery Rock rounded out the top three with a score of 86.5.
Hannah Woelfling joined Holloman as the only other Marauder to medal on Sunday. Woelfling collected bronze in the shot put with a mark of 44-1 ½, which earned six points for 'Ville.
The Marauders' sixth-place finish marks their sixth all-time at the event and first since 2016. The 2023 event also marks the sixth time that Millersville has seen multiple athletes top the podium.
DAY TWO HIGHLIGHTS
Darian Hauf and Woelfling's indoor season will come down to Tuesday's selection. If selected, they'll head to Virginia Beach, Va. for the NCAA Division II Championships starting on Friday, March 10.

DAY TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- Aubrey Sydnor earned five points for Millersville after finishing fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.89 seconds.
- Abbey Sullivan tallied four points for 'Ville after a fifth-place finish in the 800-meter run. Sullivan finished with a time of 2:21.85.
- Aurora Conrad earned a pair of points for the Marauders in two separate events on Sunday. She finished eighth in both the 60-meter dash (8.00) and the 200-meter dash (27.33).
- Along with Woelfling's bronze in the shot put, Maddy Downs finished eighth and earned one point for the Marauders with a mark of 40-3 ¼.
- The Marauder 4x400-relay team of Mia Carson, Shelby Derkosh, Emma Elwell and Aubrey Sydnor recorded a fourth-place finish (4:00.79) and earned five points.
- "Exceeded our seeds and expectations in quite a few events this weekend. The highlight today is De'Asia with the big win in the 60 hurdles. Excited for this team as we transition to our favorite season, outdoor track and field."
