Millersville Swim vs. Lock Haven

Marauders kick off winter break with a victory over Lock Haven

| By:
MILLERSVILLE, Pa. -  With the calendar year wrapping up and the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) meet fast approaching, the Marauders are using every opportunity to train and improve before heading home. In their last competition before the winter break, the Millersville swim team concluded 2023 with a 173-67 win over the Lock Haven Bald Eagles.

This is now the second straight win for the Marauders and one of their best performances of the season. Both Claire Weaver and Jewels Hepner finished the day with two first-place finishes. Leah Eckert and Jordan Plempel added to the list of first-place finishes as well. Head Coach Evan Anthony said he saw the meet as a chance to allow swimmers to compete in events they may not train on a regular basis, and that this will give him a better idea of who is ready to compete in the conference championship.

REACTION FROM COACH EVAN ANTHONY
  • On the team's performance against Lock Haven: "The meet went very well for us today. We had some opportunities to race in some different events and the team stepped up to the challenge. The team will have a few weeks at home to continue training and be with their families. Upon their return we will be nearing in on the conference meet. They are at a great spot in their training, and they can't wait to race fast in the coming weeks."
