MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville women's volleyball team recorded 11 aces in sweeping Lock Haven and picking up its first PSAC East win of the season. The Marauders took the match by scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-10.
Emily Hoffman and Kate Thompson both recorded three aces as the Marauders totaled eight aces in the third period alone. Six different Marauders contributed at least one ace, and the team committed just three service errors. Millersville was also efficient with its attack, posting a .244 hitting percentage while limiting Lock Haven to a .069 hitting percentage. In Millersville's third-set service barrage, Lock Haven managed just four kills to seven errors.
The win improved Millersville to 9-7 overall and 1-2 in PSAC East play.
Millersville never trailed in any of the three sets. Millersville led by as many as eight points in the first period, seven points in the second and finished the third set by scoring on eight of the final nine rallies. That match-clinching run included three kills--two from
Rose Vail--and two aces from Thompson. In one stretch of the third set, Hoffman recorded three-straight aces.

Laurel Samko both recorded five. Vail also shared four block assists with
Rylee Thomas.

Emma Ludwig totaled 24 assists, tied for the team-lead with eight digs.
Becca Dalstad also had eight digs.

• Millersville improved to 18-30 all-time against Lock Haven with six-straight victories.
