
Men's golf places eighth in Bud Elwell Fall Classic

ERIE, Pa. – The Millersville men's golf team placed eighth out of the 12 teams competing in the Bud Elwell Fall Classic. The classic, which was scheduled to take place on Sept. 18-19 as a two-round event, had to be condensed to one round due to storms on Monday morning in the Erie area.
The Marauders finished their one round of play shooting 23-over -par, which placed the group one stroke behind Concord and two strokes behind Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Foe, Shepherd. Pitt-Johnstown finished six strokes behind 'Ville, shooting 29-over-par.
Gannon ended up taking the victory after finishing three-under-par, one stroke ahead of Ohio Dominican.
Bobby Lugiano finished as one of the Marauders' top performers yet again and was joined by sophomore, Drew VonStein, who shot a career-low in Sunday's lone round. Both Lugiano and VonStein shot four-over-par to earn a share of 20th place with Pitt-Johnstown's Parker Hilchey.
Ty Morral and Carl Ernst each shot six-over-par and finished tied for 27th place with six other golfers, while Noah Keener and Christopher Knox recorded a seven-over-par and landed in 33rd overall.
Men's golf is back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at the Alvernia Invitational.
