MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Because of the anticipated weather conditions, the PSAC East series between Millersville and Mansfield will now feature a doubleheader at Cooper Park on Thursday, May 5 starting at 12 p.m., and a nine-inning game played at Corning Community College (N.Y.) on Saturday, May 7 starting at 1 p.m.
In the event that the weather makes the Corning Community College facility unplayable on Saturday, the series finale will be played at Millersville on Sunday, May 8 at 2 p.m.
This is the final regular season series for both teams, and there are plenty of postseason implications on the line. Millersville enters the weekend tied with both West Chester and Shippensburg for first place in the PSAC East. The Marauders have already clinched a PSAC Tournament berth, but are trying to win the division for the second year in a row and the third season in a row. Shippensburg and West Chester go head-to-head in a three-game series. Millersville owns a tiebreaker with Shippensburg, but West Chester owns the tiebreaker with Millersville. Mansfield trails East Stroudsburg for the final playoff by two games.Â
All games of the series will be broadcast on the
PSAC Sports Digital Network.Â
