Marauders ranked No. 8 in Atlantic Region by USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Millersville University indoor track and field team earned regional recognition in the third poll of the season from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Marauders earned a team score of 145.21 as Millersville moved up three spots in the poll, taking the No. 8 spot in the Atlantic Region. Full regional rankings can be found here.
"The team is working hard, and it is nice to see our regional ranking improve which reflects that work," head coach Andy Young said. "Although it's nice to be ranked well, our team's focus is set firmly on finishing indoor well while chasing down better performances this coming outdoor season."
The Marauders also had three individuals reach the regional ranking. Darian Hauf ranks second in the pole vault, with a top mark of 12-6. Aliyah Striver ranks second in the shot put with a distance of 46-1 ¼. Striver leads the region in the weight throw, with a distance of 57-6 ¼.
Hannah Woelfling is also ranked in both events, taking sixth in the shot put (42-4 ¾) and second in the weight throw (54-2 ½) as she trails Striver for the regional lead in that event.
The 4X400 relay of Lyric Williams, Mia Carson, Aurora Conrad, and Ashlyn Hickey ranks fifth in the region with a time of 4:03.82.

Millersville is back in action Friday, Feb. 11 as the Marauders head to Staten Island for the Fast Track National Invitational.
