Striver, Conrad pick up wins at Alvernia Invitational

READING, Pa. – The Millersville University indoor track and field team competed in the Alvernia Innovational on Saturday. The Marauders picked up four wins on the day, two of which came from graduate student Aliyah Striver.
 
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
  • Aurora Conrad won the 200-meter with a time of 26.13.
  • Aliyah Striver won the shot put with a distance of 43-10 ¾.
  • Hannah Woelfling took third in the shot put with a distance of 41-1.
  • Striver would also win the eight toss with a distance of 55-11 ¾. Woelfling took second behind Striver with a distance of 53-7 ¾. Both distances are PSAC qualifiers.
  • Emma Elwell finished in third in the 200-meter, with a time of 26.54.
  • Darian Hauf took third in the 60-meter with a time of 8.05 seconds.
  • Jenna Dumbrowsky took 21st in the mile with a time of 5:59.16.
  • Mia Carson took third in the 400-meter with a time of 1:00.68.
  • Abbey Sullivan took second in the 800-meter with a time of 2:22.21.
  • The Marauders 4 x 400 relay team took first overall, as Conrad, Mia, Ashlyn Hickey, and Lyric Williams combined to finish the event in 4:07.05.
  • Megan Malecki took second in the pole vault, finishing with a height of 10-10.
  • Morgan Janiuk took second in the 3000-meter with a time of 10:38.13.

UP NEXT
The Marauders head back to the track on Friday Feb. 11 as they travel to Staten Island to compete in the Fasttrack National Invitational.
