LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Fresh off a pair of wins at the Princeton Invitational, Hannah Woelfling was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Indoor Field Athlete of the Week. This is the second time in her career that Woelfling has earned a weekly honor from the conference, as she previously won the outdoor award in April of 2021.
Woelfing recorded a pair of NCAA qualifying marks in her wins, as she had distances of 59-9 in the weight throw and 48-1 ¼ in the shot put.
This is the third award of the season for the Marauders, as Aliyah Striver and Darian Hauf each won the award in December and January, respectively.
"Our throws coach Brittany Hartman expected a big performance, but even Coach B was surprised by the day Hannah had on Sunday," head coach Andy Young said.
Millersville will take their strong core of field athletes to this week's PSAC Indoor Championship meet at Edinboro University this Saturday and Sunday.
