BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Millersville women's basketball fell to Bloomsburg on Saturday afternoon, 73-34.
The Huskies were able to put together a strong performance start to finish to help pull away from 'Ville, including a third quarter in which the Huskies held the Marauders scoreless, while putting up 19 points of their own. Bloomsburg shot an impressive 53% from the floor and 50% from beyond the arch in a game where it seemed they could do no wrong.
Millersville will look to put this one behind them and gear up for Monday's matchup at East Stroudsburg.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Erika Reed was able to get in front of a Meghan Corridoni pass and finish it on the other end with just over seven minutes remaining in the second quarter. The score brought Millersville within 12 points of the Huskies.
- Christina Brown threw up a three-point shot with time expiring in the first half and was rewarded as it went in off the glass, bringing 'Ville within 15 going into the half.
- Christa Ricks nailed a three-point shot midway through the fourth quarter to give herself a team-high seven points in the game. Â

- Millersville finished the game shooting 28.3% from the floor, 28.6% from beyond the arch, and 40% from the free-throw line. They shot a team-high 58.33% in the second quarter
- Ricks led the in scoring with seven, while Lister followed with five.
- Mia Leonard and Ricks each had four rebounds to lead all Marauders.
- Lister dished out a team-high two assists. Â

- The Marauders will travel to East Stroudsburg on Monday, Jan. 31 for their first matchup of the season with the Warriors. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. .
