EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Millersville University volleyball team (10-19) fell to 4-8 in PSAC East play after their loss to the East Stroudsburg Warriors on Saturday afternoon. With the loss Millersville fell to 1-11 on the road as the Marauder struggles have continued away from the friendly confines of Pucillio Gymnasium, where 'Ville boasts a 5-2 record.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- The first set started off with an early ESU lead before a four-point Marauder run tied things up 10-10. Tied at 11, the Warriors would rattle off nine consecutive points, putting the set out of reach.
- Millersville came out strong in the second set, taking an 11-8 lead early on. Â The set remained close, with the score tied 17-17 before a three-point ESU run gave the Warriors the lead for good and a 2-0 match advantage.
- After trailing early, 'Ville took their first lead of the third set when they went ahead 8-7. Millersville would maintain the lead over the remainder of the set, avoiding the sweep and picking up their first win of the match.
- Millersville kept the momentum in the fourth set, leading as late as 17-15 in the set before a five-point ESU rally gave the Warriors a late lead change and secured the set and match victory for ESU. aa

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Kylie Airesman (16) Lauren Lucas (12) and Caitlyn Callahan (11) were all in double figures for the Marauders in kills.
- Airesman also led Millersville in aces with three.
- Callahan continued her incredible season at the net with another five-block performance as the PSAC blocking title will come down to her and Georgia Ohmke of Shepherd heading into the final week of the regular season. Callahan currently trails 117 to 132 in total blocks but leads the PSAC in solo blocks 44 to 40 over Ohmke.
- Emma Ludwig recorded her 10th match with 40+ assists as she totaled 41 assists on the night.
- Becca Dalstad (23) led the Marauder in digs. Emily Hoffman and Emma Ludwig tied for second on the team with 14 digs.

"The team competed well today. We faced a quality team with seven seniors and battled the whole match. It's our goal is to continue to improve and expand and experiment with what we are capable of doing and need to improve upon as this young team grows."

"As a Marine Veteran I'm excited for our first Military Appreciation Match. With the continued covid restrictions we are not expecting it to be big, but we hope to grow this event in future years."
