Millersville (9-4, 5-3 PSAC East) got off to their hottest start of the season tonight, scoring four goals in the first 22 minutes of play en route to a 4-3 victory. Matteo Adiletta would start the scoring off for 'Ville in the 8th minute with his second goal of the season. The Marauder captain took a pass from midfielder Anthony Calamia and sent it into the back of the net to capture the first lead of the match. Five minutes later Spencer Shortt would get in on the action with goal of his own. The redshirt junior connected with Bob Hennessey on a fast break to put the Marauders up two. Hennessey would then break the game open with two goals of his own in just over two minutes to put Millersville up four. Adiletta assisted on both Hennessey scores.
Shippensburg (4-6-3, 2-6 PSAC East) would fight back in the second half by scoring three unanswered goals. The Raiders scored their final goal of the match with less than three minutes left in regulation and were unable to complete the comeback.
