EDINBORO, Pa. - Aliyah Striver completed the throwing sweep Sunday at the PSAC Indoor Championships with a victory in the shot put, and at meet's end, the Millersville University junior was named PSAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Meet. As a team, Millersville finished ninth in the 15-team field.
Striver joins Sunflower Greene (2018 and 2019) as Millersville athletes to win both throwing events at the same PSAC Championship. A Marauder has now won both the weight throw and the shot put in three consecutive seasons.
Striver wasn't the only Marauder to claim an top three, All-PSAC finish. Freshman De'Asia Holloman recorded a second-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles. It was the highest finish by a Marauder in the event, and Holloman is the first Marauder freshman to earn an All-PSAC finish since 2012.

COACHES' THOUGHTS ON THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
• Coach Brittany Hartman on Striver's MVP performance: "Aliyah's awareness of the sport and her events has grown to a new level. She continues to work hard and that consistency has served her well."
• Coach Andy Young on the team's overall performance: "We had some ups and downs this weekend. The learning experiences along with near misses will be fuel for this team as we head towards outdoors. With tons of PRs or season bests we have a lot to build on. We will obviously have to up our game a bit come outdoor, though."
NOTES
• Slippery Rock won the team championship with 99.5 points, topping West Chester's 80. Millersville finished with 45 points, just 6.5 out of seventh.
