Flannery, McGuire enter FloWrestling national rankings; eight total Marauders ranked in Super Region I

MERCYHURST, Pa. - Eight Millersville Marauders have been ranked in the latest 2019-2020 Super Region I Individual Rankings, with freshman Devin Flannery at 125 pounds and sophomore Ryan McGuire also entering the latest FloWrestling Division II national rankings. Joining them in the regional rankings is Jackson Erb, Jarrett Feeney, Malik Jackson, Evan Morrill, Jack Files, and Josh Walls.

Flannery has started off his collegiate career with an 8-3 record, including three falls, three technical falls, and one major decision. He is ranked No. 15 in the FloWrestling Division II national rankings and No. 3 in Super Region I.

McGuire has followed up a 21-victory freshman campaign with a solid 9-5 start in 2019-2020, including one fall and a technical fall. McGuire also logged a five-match unbeaten streak from Nov. 20 to Dec. 14. He is ranked No. 17 nationally in the FloWrestling Division II rankings and No. 2 in Super Region I behind Jacob Early of Pitt-Johnstown, earning the highest regional ranking of any Marauder in the latest release.

Millersville freshman Jackson Erb earns the No. 5 ranking at 149 pounds in Super Region I with a 7-7 overall record. He has recorded three falls, two technical falls and two major decisions this season and finished in third place at the season opening Washington & Jefferson Invitational.

Yet another Marauders freshman, Jarrett Feeney, is ranked fifth in the region at 165 pounds. Feeney had a late start to the season and carries a 3-4 overall record with one fall and one major decision

In the 174-pound regional rankings, sophomore Malik Jackson is ranked sixth. Jackson has been a workhorse for the Marauders, tied for the team lead in matches wrestled with 16. Jackson has recorded five victories so far this season, with one fall and one technical fall.

Millersville senior Evan Morrill enters the Super Region I Individual Rankings at No. 3. Morrill, a two-sport athlete, also had a late start to the wrestling season due to commitments to the football team. His record stands at 2-3, with one technical fall earned thus far.

Freshman Jack Files earns the No. 6 spot in the 197-pound regional rankings. He has been getting stronger as the season has gone on, with two victories in his last three matches (including a fall), which was the first of his collegiate career. 

Millersville heavyweight Josh Walls is ranked No. 5 in the region. Like Malik Jackson, Walls has also wrestled 16 matches in 2019-2020. He is 11-5 with four falls, two tech falls and a major decision. He earned a runner-up finish at the Washington & Jefferson Invitational and a third-place podium spot at the Wilkes Open on Dec. 22.
