MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The No. 1-RANKED Millersville Marauders face off against the No. 2 West Chester Golden Rams under the lights Wednesday night on Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium.

The Marauders have sat in the No. 1 spot for three-straight weeks following eight-straight wins to start the season. Over the weekend, Millersville notched another two wins into their belt and added a fifth shutout to their record.

The Golden Rams are currently 6-0 and 1-0 in the PSAC following an 8-0 victory against Seton Hill on Sept. 28. West Chester has recorded shutouts in the last three games. The Golden Rams gave up one goal each in their first three games of the season. West Chester has held the No. 2 ranking since the preseason poll.
 
ABOUT THE MARAUDERS
• The Millersville roster has 17 goal scorers with as many as six different players scoring in a single game this season.
• The Marauders haven't conceded more than a single goal in a game, giving up only three this season.
• Millersville has recorded 31 goals, 183 shots with 116 on goal and 108 corners in eight games. The team recorded season highs in goals scored (7), shots (35), shots on goal (27) and penalty corners (23) in the game against Slippery Rock on Sunday, Sept. 29.
• Erica Tarsi leads the team in goals scored (6) and assists (4). Tarsi leads the PSAC in game-winning goals with four. She ranks second in shots with 48.
• Emma Boutcher (4), Hannah Brown (3), Kyra Brakefield (3) and Asia Weaver (3) have scored multiple goals for the Marauders.  
• Annabelle Tierney has the second-most assists on the team with three.
• Autumn Peters has started all eight games in goal and has recorded 415 minutes in the cage. She faced a season-high 11 shots and made a season-high seven saves in the shutout against Shippensburg (Sept. 11).
• The Marauders have allowed just 37 shots this season with only 21 on goal.

• Millersville and West Chester met as No. 1 vs. No. 2 at Millersville on Sept. 23, 2015. Millersville won that game 1-0 in overtime. While West Chester won all three meetings last season, 10 of the last 14 meetings have been decided by one goal and six games since 2013 have gone to overtime.

• Then-No. 8 Millersville faced then-No. 1 West Chester in the PSAC Semifinals, entering the game with  a seven-game winning streak and six-game shutout streak. 
• The Marauder defense stopped six shots off seven penalty corners in the first half.
• Millersville came close in the 41st minute off a penalty corner inserted by Brakefield. Tierney gained possession of the ball. She tipped it on the right side and her shot went just wide of the cage.
• Peters made eight stops in the cage.
• Sol Ortiz-Kreiner, Tarsi and Tierney all got shots off with Ortiz-Kreiner's being the only on goal.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• Kat Roncoroni leads the team with six goals. Catie McNamara comes close in second with five. Only five other Golden Rams have scored this season.
• West Chester has 25 goals, 137 shots with 85 on goal and 72 corners in six games.  
• The team has held its opponents to just three goals, 22 shots, 13 shots on goal and 21 corners this season.
• West Chester recorded season highs in goals (8), shots (38), shots on goal (22) and corners (28) in the shutout of Seton Hill on Sept. 28.
• Katie Thompson and Roncoroni are tied for fifth in the PSAC in shots with 29 each. Thompson is ninth in the PSAC for game-winning goals with three.
