Box Score Millersville, Pa. - Down 3-1 in its first home Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match of the season, the Millersville University men's tennis team won its final three matches and stunned Bloomsburg on Saturday afternoon on the McComsey Tennis Courts. The match went down to the wire, but
Carlos Martinez-Lucas managed to pull off a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 victory at flight one singles to clinch the win for the Marauders.
Millersville (3-12, 1-2 PSAC) earned its first win over the Huskies since exactly six years ago on March 30, 2013. Bloomsburg (2-4, 0-1 PSAC) lost its second-straight match.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• The Huskies won the doubles point and two of the first three singles matches to put themselves just one point away from the victory. However,
Peter Landis kept the Marauders alive with a 6-4, 7-5 win at flight two singles and
Frank Yanni tied the match with a very close victory at flight three singles. Yanni dropped the first set, 6-3, but came back to win the second set, 6-4, and clinched the win with a 6-4 decision in the final set.

Rodrigo Lorencin won the other singles match for Millersville at flight six, 6-3, 6-4.
• Yanni and Lorencin teamed up and managed to edge out their opposition in a close flight three doubles match, 6-4.
NOTES

Carlos Martinez-Lucas' clutch win improves his record to 10-3 in singles play during the spring.
•
Rodrigo Lorencin has also been playing well as of late, having now won four of his last five singles matches.
• Millersville has not won a PSAC match within its first three conference matches of the season since the 2012-13 campaign. That victory also came against Bloomsburg.

• The Marauders will be back in action tomorrow, Sunday, March 31, when they host Salem University on the McComsey Tennis Courts at 1 p.m.
