Men's tennis loses well-fought 4-3 match against Augustana

Box Score Orlando, Fla. - The Millersville University men's tennis team won the top three singles matches, but it wasn't enough in a 4-3 loss to Augustana on Thursday afternoon.

The Marauders fall to 1-8, while the Viking improve to 6-7.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Peter Landis edged his opponent in an exciting flight two singles match. Landis won the first set, 6-4, then dropped the second set, 6-3, before clinching the victory in a very tight 10-8 third set.
• Carlos Martinez-Lucas cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win at flight one singles, while Frank Yanni won his flight three singles match, 6-2, 6-2.
• Yanni and Ben Fellman's flight two doubles match went down to the wire, but they ultimately lost, 7-5.

NOTES
• Carlos Martinez-Lucas improved to 6-1 in singles play during the spring and has won his last five singles bouts. 
• Augustana is now 2-0 all-time against Millersville after sweeping it last season, 9-0.
• The Marauders have had some tough luck this season, with this being their fourth match they lost by a score of 4-3.
