MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville men's soccer team takes a brief respite from a busy PSAC schedule to host No. 3-ranked Adelphi at Pucillo Field on Saturday afternoon. It is the third game of a four-game homestand for the Marauders, and the offense has come alive, scoring seven goals in the last two games.
Millersville's non-conference schedule has been a challenge in 2019. Adelphi is the fifth nationally-ranked team to face the Marauders thusfar, joining No. 9 Mercy College, No. 10 Gannon University, No. 16 Wilmington (DE) and No. 23 West Chester. Millersville remains a point ahead of West Chester for first place in the PSAC East standings thanks to an unbeaten conference record of 5-0-2.
ABOUT THE MARAUDERS
- Jacob Gosselin continues to be an offensive powerhouse for Millersville. He has scored a goal in the last three games and now has nine total for the season, only one behind Lock Haven forward Andrea DiSomma for the PSAC lead. Gosselin does hold the top spot for total points in the PSAC with 22 total.
- Nine different Marauders have scored at least one goal in 2019. Freshman Frank Astarita is second on the team with three, while Nathan Maynard, Bob Hennessey and Anthony Calamia have all scored twice.
- The Marauders have not lost a game since Sept. 25 against Gannon University and have won four of the last five matches.
