THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH STEVE WIDDOWSON
- How do you feel about the first half and the way the boys reacted after conceding the early goal? "I think that's was one our biggest issues today, we reacted too often instead of taking the initiative. At the start of the game we just kept giving away fouls and putting ourselves under pressure and it gave Shepherd the initiative. We needed to be cleaner and sharper and not add unnecessary issues upon ourselves."
- What are your thoughts on the boys continuing to battle through the final 20 minutes of a tied match and finding a way to come out with the win? "The battling spirit and winning mentality were the highlights for us today. Without doubt, that is what won us the three points today. However, we need to add more quality to our performance moving forward if we want to achieve our goals. We can't keep scraping out results as that eventually catches up with you. We will be looking for ways to keep evaluating our performance levels moving forward."
