• Devon Matz also scored in the 4k, checking in with a time of 17:42.17 to place 63rd overall.
HEAD COACH ANDY YOUNG QUOTES
• "I was really happy to see Emily Bland have a breakout race. She has worked very hard for the past year and a half to get to a higher level. Now she believes she can do even more when it comes to championship season."
• "We had a strong performance from Elizabeth Rudderow, who ran much of the 6k with one shoe yet clicked off a new 6k personal record on a challenging course."
• "We played around with a fast start with our 4k runners. Although they paid a price for going fast, they still remained competitive and finished well as a group. Jillian Miller, Yoangelys Rijo-Cedeno, Natalie Poulton and Skylar Maurer finished close together which was exciting to see."
• "Overall we had very good development of team competitiveness against perennial PSAC power Shippensburg and Division III ranked teams Dickinson and Johns Hopkins, who are ranked at number one."
NOTES
• This was the first long/short invitational Millersville has competed in since the 2014 season.
UP NEXT
• The Marauders will next compete at the Blue & Gold Invitational in Newark, Del. on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 10 a.m.
