Marauders Concert Series and Tailgating Zone announced for home football schedule

Millersville, Pa. - Millersville Athletics is turning up the volume on its pregame festivities for the 2018 home football schedule by teaming up with the Millersville University Music Department for the Marauders Concert Series. The pregame festivities will also include a bounce house for kids and food from the Marauder Express Food Truck all held in the newly-designated tailgating zone.
PERIHELION will kick off the season on Aug. 30 at 5 p.m.
The entertainment is free for all fans and will take place in the tailgating zone--the parallel parking lot along Pucillo Drive next to Biemesderfer Stadium. There fans can park cars, bring lawn chairs and set up tents to enjoy the festivities. Click here to read more about the Millersville University tailgating policy. The area has been established to provide Marauder fans with the complete football experience.
The location is also a prime spot to welcome the football team, marching band and cheerleaders as they will parade through the area on their way to the stadium 2 1/2 hours prior to kickoff. The concerts start two hours before kickoff and will end 30 minutes prior to kickoff. All of the bands set to perform at the six home games are comprised of students from the Millersville University Music Department.
PERIHELION, an alternative rock band with seven members, will open the season on Thursday, Aug. 30 before the Marauders host Pace at 7:05 p.m. Music begins at 5 p.m. with the children's bounce house and food truck nearby.
PERIHELION is describes itself as: "A melting pot of genres. A blend of punk, southern classic rock, and fast paced alternative rock--they bring the energy and fun wherever they go! Lindsay and Kay (lead singers) light the stage up with their vocal performances as the rest of the band follows the energy. Kyle and Luke (guitars) riff and roar together to create memorable moments in each song. Michael and Alex (drum/bass) hold the whole group down with their strong and unique styles of play! PERIHELION is a treat for all audience members and a joy to listen too!"
