Lakewood Township, N.J. - With one last chance to improve qualifying position for the NCAA Division II Championships, Millersville's Amanda Myers, Sunflower Greene and Erin Harman competed at the Georgian Court Last Chance meet. All three won their respective events.
Greene, already owning the nation's No. 4 mark in the shot put and No. 7 mark in the hammer throw, improved her discus season-best to 155-7, which now ranks 26th in Division II.
Myers, already a qualifier in the javelin with nation's seventh-best throw at 155-8, competed in the hammer and won with a toss of 171-5. That mark was shy of her season-best of 176-11, which ranks 28th nationally.
Harman won the pole vault with a height of 11-1 3/4, but came up short of the NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
Greene and Myers will now prepare for the NCAA Outdoor Championships, held May 24 in Charlotte, N.C.
