ABOUT THE MARAUDERS
• Millersville enters the stretch run of its regular season sitting two games out of first place in the PSAC East and ranked fifth in the NCAA Atlantic Regional. The team's eight most important games of the season lie ahead, though, as Lock Haven and Bloomsburg are also postseason contenders. Lock Haven is ranked eighth in the region and is battling for PSAC Tournament contention, holding a 10-10 division record and tied with Shippensburg for the final playoff spot from the East. Bloomsburg owns the top spot in both the division and the region. Depending on the outcome of the final eight PSAC East games, Millersville could win the division or miss the postseason entirely.
• Since starting 9-7, Millersville has gone 18-7 overall and 11-2 at Cooper Park.
• Millersville's magic number seems to be six. It is 15-4 when scoring at least six runs in a game. Another benchmark for success is in stolen bases. The Marauders are 14-3 when stealing at least two bags.
• Eli Nabholz has turned into a top contender for PSAC East Pitcher of the Year. He has won the division's pitcher of the week award three times including each of the last two weeks. Nabholz has tossed three consecutive complete game shutouts, pushing a streak of consecutive scoreless innings pitched to 21. That stands as the fourth-longest streak in Millersville history and is tied for ninth in PSAC history.
• Among pitchers with at least 25 innings pitched, Nabholz ranks first in the league in ERA. He is also tied for third in wins (6) and is sixth in strikeouts. In four starts against the PSAC East, Nabholz is 3-1 with a 0.69 ERA, 29 strikeouts in 26 innings and a 1.00 WHIP.
• As good as Nabholz has been, his numbers have not been as good on the road. Nabholz has made just three starts away from The Coop also season, and only one in a true road game since February 9. He is 0-2 in those starts. His last road start was against Kutztown on March 30. He gave up five runs (two earned) on seven hits and three walks.
• With Nabholz leading the way, the Marauders now rank third in the PSAC in ERA and fourth in batting average against. Game two starter Cordell Shannon is 3-1 with a 3.18 ERA against PSAC East competition, and Tyler Yankosky is 3-2 with a 3.20 ERA. Both pitchers have more strikeouts than innings pitched as well.
• No Marauder has been as hot at the plate as Kaylor Kulina. Kulina missed the better part of seven league games with an injury, but he owns a .372 batting average against the PSAC East. He has a hit in six of his last seven games, going 11 for 24 in that stretch.

SERIES HISTORY
• Since Lock Haven joined the PSAC East in 2014, Millersville has won all 14 of 16 games. Last season, the teams split the series with the home teams winning all four games. Lock Haven's last win in the series came in on April 14, 2008. It has never won at Cooper Park, and its last win at Millersville came in 2006.
• Jon Shehan had gone 15-1 against Lock Haven until the Bald Eagles won the last two games of last season's series.
• The 2017 series was low-scoring with the winning team not scoring more than three runs in any game. The teams combined for just 15 total runs in four games. Lock Haven has not scored more than four runs in any game against Millersville since 2009.
• Millersville's wins over Lock Haven in 2017 came on the right arms on Eli Nabholz and Tyler Yankosky. Nabholz out-dueled Avery Eddy in game one, not giving up an earned run while striking out six. In game two, Yankosky threw 6 2/3 shutout innings.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
• Lock Haven started 13-4 and hit the national rankings in the NCBWA poll, climbing as high as No. 17. Lock Haven has since dropped out after losing seven of the last 11. Most recently the Bald Eagles split with PSAC East-leading Bloomsburg.
• Scoring runs has not been an issue for the Bald Eagles. It has scored 51 runs over its last six games and has topped double-digit runs 10 times this season. When Lock Haven is held under five runs, however, it is 2-6.
• The team leads the PSAC in hitting with a robust .344 average. It also ranks third in slugging percentage. Three Bald Eagles rank the PSAC's top 10 in batting average. Cayden Stover leads that group with a .432 mark. Stover also ranks fourth in OBP and second in runs.
• Lock Haven simply out-slugs its opponents, and it usually has to. While it boasts arguably the most proficient lineup in the PSAC, its team ERA is 6.54, which ranks 12th in the PSAC. The staff has struck out the third-fewest batters in the league. The staff hasn't been helped by a defense that owns a .938 fielding percentage, which is tied for league worst. Lock Haven has given up 57 unearned runs in 34 games.
