
Women’s golf takes third place at the Alvernia Invitational

Mohnton, Pa. – Junior Danielle Greene's 80 helped the Millersville University women's golf team post a third place finish at the 2018 Alvernia Spring Invitational Tuesday afternoon at Ledgerock Golf Club. The Marauders totaled 336 as a team.
Greene tied for eighth place with a 8-over 80. Freshman Hannah Yanoski shot an 11-over 83 and tied for 11th.
Sophomore Joelie Bennett recorded one shot more than Yanoski with a 12-over 84. Bennett claimed 13th place. Tied for 19th, senior Alexa Strong had a 17-over 89. Freshman Belle Keopraeseut tied for 22nd with a 92.
Jill Jones of Kutztown claimed her second consecutive medalist in a four-way tie, shooting a 6-over 78. West Chester won the team title with a score of 318. Kutztown recorded five strokes more with a score of 323 to take second place.
The Marauders 2017-18 season is complete.
