GAME OVERVIEW
• Millersville returns to Pucillo Gymnasium after splitting decisions during its two game road trip at West Chester and at Cheyney. The Marauders experienced a difficult evening against the PSAC East leading Golden Rams who defended their home court 82-63. The Marauders responded with a dramatic 77-72 overtime victory at Cheyney that included freshman Lauren Lister scoring a new career-high 30 points with 10 points in the overtime period against the Wolves.
• Millersville and Shippensburg are plenty familiar with each other with the PSAC East rivals squaring off 96 times since the 1921-22 season. Both teams have veteran head coaches that are more than familiar with each other as Mary Fleig and Kristy Trn prepare for their 34th match up against each other.  Millersville upperclassmen Alayah Hall, Kendra Bamberger and Janelle Robinson have been a part of eight games between the Marauders and Raiders including a tight playoff loss at Shippensburg during the 2015-16 season.
•Ville's upcoming match up with Shippensburg will be the second time the teams have played in a month's time. The Marauders walked out of Heiges Field House with a narrow 70-66 victory which proved vital to Millersville's rise into its current third place ranking in the PSAC East.
• Three huge offensive performances by Millersville's leading upperclassmen scorers disrupted Shippensburg's upset bid. Junior Jade Farquhar scored a career-high 24 points on 75 percent shooting including a perfect 100 percent in the first half. Senior Alayah Hall set a new season-high of 22 points against the Raiders while nearly recording a triple double with nine rebounds and seven assists. Redshirt junior Kendra Bamberger scored 17 points on 50 percent shooting while leading the team with 39 minutes on the court.
• The Marauders owned the first half and walked into the locker room with a 12 point lead, but they watched a 14 point lead vanish in the third quarter as the Raiders came out of the locker room firing on all cylinders. Freshman guards Ariel Jones and Kasey Engle combined for 33 points during the second half, and they forced Millersville to play neck and neck with Shippensburg deep into the fourth quarter. Senior Alayah Hall stepped up and scored seven points including five points from the free throw line in the final 70 seconds to help close the game out.
• Expect Lister to have a bigger impact during this iteration of the Millersville-Shippensburg match up. The guard got into early foul trouble and did not have a significant impact last time out. Lister is currently averaging 22 points in her four straight starts on nearly 60 percent shooting.

SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
• The Raiders are 4-6 since the new year after beginning the season 1-11. Shippensburg is capable of scoring at will, and the team has scored 81 or more points in all four of its victories in 2018.  Currently, the Raiders rank sixth in the conference in field goal percentage. However, in five of their six losses since the new year, the Raiders have been held to 66 points or fewer including their 66-70 loss while hosting Millersville on Jan. 6.
• Freshman Ariel Jones is the Shippensburg offense and she has taken the PSAC by storm. Jones leads her team and the conference in scoring with 21.2 points per game, and she ranks second in the conference with 446 points scored. The guard has started all 21 games while averaging almost 35 minutes per game. Jones's efforts have been rewarded by the PSAC as she won the first PSAC East Athlete of the Week honor this season before snagging seven of the last 10 PSAC East Freshman of the Week honors. Jones rolls up to Pucillo Gym on a hot streak after scoring a new career-high 36 points in Shippensburg's 85-78 victory at Mercyhurst.
• Senior Victoria Blackburn ranks second on Shippensburg in scoring while providing veteran leadership to a team that features 11 underclassmen. Blackburn averaged 11.4 points per game in her 18 starts this season. The guard also ranks as the most accurate starting three point shooter with a 33 percent three point field goal percentage this season.
