GAME OVERVIEW
• The Marauders return to Pucillo Gymnasium after a two-game road trip to PSAC East rivals Shippensburg and Mansfield. Senior
Alayah Hall and junior
Jade Farquhar lead the scoring efforts in both contests as Millersville split its road trip with a win at Shippensburg and a loss at Mansfield.
• While Millersville holds a tight 42-41 lead on the series with Bloomsburg, the Huskies are closing in on tying the series since winning two straight during the 2016-17 season. During Head Coach Alison Tagliaferri's tenure, the Huskies are undefeated against the Marauders.
• The Bloomsburg defense suffocated the Millersville offense last season. In the two games, Millersville averaged 46 points on 31 percent shooting.
Celeste Robinson scored in double figures in both games but was the only Millersville player to score in double-digits in either contest.
• The Millersville offense is playing more balanced this season and has an opportunity to exact revenge while also hindering a division rival's playoff chances. The Marauders are scoring 7.1 points more per game over last season while also shooting a higher field goal percentage. Against conference opponents, Head Coach
Mary Fleig has three double-digits scorers to lean on. Hall currently averages 18.4 points per game against the PSAC while also shooting 45 percent from the field. Hall has scored over 15 points in four straight conference games including scoring over 20 points in her last two games. Redshirt junior
Kendra Bamberger ranks second on the team with 13.9 points per conference game while also averaging seven rebounds per game. Farquhar ranks third with 10.4 points per conference game while shooting a team leading 51 percent from the field. Farquhar is only a few days removed from scoring a career-high 24 points on 75 percent shooting at Shippensburg.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
• Bloomsburg currently ranks fifth in the PSAC East after starting the season 6-9 and 3-6 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. Millersville currently ranks ahead of Bloomsburg in the PSAC East based on overall winning percentage since both teams have the same conference record. A win for either team could make all the difference as the race for the playoffs gets tighter.
• The Huskies rank last in the conference in scoring with 56.5 points per game. However, they make up for their offensive struggles with the third-ranked defense in the entire conference as they hold their opponents to only 61.1 points per game. The Huskies are grinders and a slow-paced low-scoring affair plays right into their hands. Millersville will look to score early and often to try and put the game out of reach for Bloomsburg.
• Size is a factor in any contest with the Huskies. The team boasts a long line up with nine players measuring 5-foot-11 or taller. Millersville will have to get creative when defending and attacking the Bloomsburg line up as the Huskies outscored the Marauders in the paint in both contests last season.
• Sophomore Taylor Montana leads the scoring for the Huskies. The forward currently averages 8.5 points per game and ramps up her scoring against conference opponents with a 10.4 points per game. Locking down Montana could severely hamstring the Bloomsburg offense as she is the only player averaging double-figures against conference opponents.
