GAME OVERVIEWS
• Millersville's opportunity to shake up the PSAC East standings against West Chester was derailed after early outside shooting and consistency at the free throw line from the Golden Rams. Despite nearly shooting 50 percent from the field, the Marauders could not overcome the disparity in made three pointers and made free throws. Millersville lead at both the half and the end of the third quarter, but the game was contentious and featured 17 lead changes. Finally, West Chester tied the game up with just over seven minutes remaining in the game, and the Golden Rams finished the game on a 17-7 run to close out the Marauders.
• Wednesday night marked the first time in a month that the Marauder offense was held to under-70 points and it also marked the team's lowest shot total since late November. Marking a new trend, the game against West Chester was the third time Millersville recorded over 20 personal fouls. In all three of those contests, Millersville's opponent has shot over 80 percent from the free throw line while winning by at least seven points. Head Coach
Mary Fleig will look to her squad to continue limiting personal fouls.
• Redshirt junior
Kendra Bamberger lead the charge against the Golden Rams. After playing limited early minutes in a blowout win against Cheyney, the forward got back to her scoring ways with 19 points. Bamberger has scored in double figures in five of Millersville's last six games.
• Sophomore
Courtney Dimoff continued her strong play with 16 points against West Chester. The guard has now scored in double figures in four straight games while shooting over 50 percent from the field in three straight. Not only did she shoot 50 percent from the field against the Golden Rams, Dimoff also shot 44 percent from the three point arch and lead the team in outside shooting.
SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
• Shippensburg was picked to finish fifth in the PSAC East preseason standings only a few months after the Raiders claimed the PSAC East crown and boasted a 24-7 record in the 2016-17 season. The Raiders are in a full-blown rebuild because all five starters from 2016-17 graduated, and Head Coach Kristy Trn is now tasked with submitting nine freshmen to a trial-by-fire. So far, the Raiders have struggled and currently rank last in the PSAC East with a 0-6 conference record and a 1-11 record overall.
• Freshman guard Ariel Jones proved to be a bright spot for the Raiders so far this season. Jones currently ranks second in the conference in scoring with 21.9 points per game. Her consistency has impressed the conference as she has scored in double figures in all 11 games while scoring over 20 points in eight games including a 34 point performance in the team's only win of the season against Charleston in overtime. The conference has recognized Jones once as the PSAC East Player of the Week and as the PSAC East Freshman of the Week four out of the last five weeks.
SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS
• Despite being picked to finish last in the PSAC East preseason poll, Mansfield currently sits in the last PSAC East playoff spot after starting the season 4-9 and 2-5 in the conference. Head Coach Michael Whitling has benefited from returning four seniors to his squad.
• Leading the charge for Mansfield is senior Brielle Kelly. After leading her team and finishing 13th in the conference with 13.8 points per game in the 2016-17 campaign, the forward has exploded this season with a 19.4 points per game average as she has scored in double figures in every single contest. Kelly's points total is trending up as she has scored over 30 points in two straight games including a 35 point performance against PSAC East leading East Stroudsburg.
