
Cross Country finishes 16th in Lock Haven Invitational

Lock Haven, Pa. – The Millersville women's cross country team placed 16th out of 19 teams in the Lock Haven Invitational Saturday morning.
The Lock Haven Invitational was a 6K race which 230 individuals participating.
Cleveland State took the team victory with three runners in the top 10. Point Park's junior Anna Shields won the race in 21:12.1 with a 29 second lead.
Freshman Julia Murphy led Millersville by running a 25:47.2 to take 108th position. In 123rd, Emily Bland went through the finish line at 26:10.3. Two seconds behind Bland, senior Aniya Gibbs ran the course in 26:12.4 to put her in 125th place.
Finishing out the freshman class in the invitational, Yoangelys Rijo-Cedeno grabbed 133rd position by finishing the race with a time of 26:36.4. Junior Madie Tropp finished the race at 26:43.3 in 136th.
The Marauders come back to the starting line on home turf for the Battle for the Buggy on Saturday, Oct. 7 starting at 10 a.m.
