
Cross country places fourth at Battle for the Buggy

Millersville, Pa. – The Millersville women's cross country team placed fourth out of five teams at Saturday's Battle for the Buggy.
The event was held at Herr Park on a 6K course.
Senior Aniya Gibbs led Millersville by taking 11th place, running a 26:40. Seven second behind her teammate, freshman Elizabeth Rudderrow captured 12th with a time of 26:47. Freshman Victoria Ranck came through the finish line at 27:05 to place 13th.
Senior Madie Tropp ran a 28:22 and finished 19th. Freshman Yoangelys Rijo-Cedeno was a spot below Tropp in 20th (28:26).
Pen State Berks' Michelle Kiss won the Battle for the Buggy with a time of 24:09, finishing a full minute in front of the second place runner. Franklin & Marshall won the team competition with three runners in the top 10.
The Marauders travel to the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 11 a.m. for the last event of the regular season.
