ABOUT THE MARAUDERS
• Millersville is certainly hoping that a doubleheader sweep of USciences on Tuesday will propel it to a strong finish. While the Marauders are ranked No. 22 in Division II, a 5-7 start to PSAC East play has put them in a tie for sixth place and outside of the playoffs. However, four series and 16 league games remain. This weekend's series against East Stroudsburg is pivotal as the Warriors enter at 5-6-1 in league play.
• In game one of Tuesday's doubleheader, Millersville trailed USciences 5-0 after four innings, but Ben Snyder completed a seventh-inning rally with a game-tying, three-run home run. Dan Neff then delivered a two-run double in the eighth to help the Marauders win. Millersville rolled to a 13-3 win in game to. It was the team's most runs scored in 15 games.
Chas McCormick became Millersville's all-time hits leader after totaling five hits in the doubleheader against USciences. McCormick's 276 is one past Tyler Orris and he is now 28 shy of the PSAC record. McCormick needed just 742 at bats to break the record. Orris totaled 816 in his career. McCormick also scored four runs on the day, which moves him into a tie with Orris for the career record for runs scored at 198. McCormick is 12 shy of the program's RBI record as well.
• Since going 0-for-6 to end the Mansfield series, McCormick has gone 10-for-17 with 10 runs, six RBIs, three homers and five walks over the last six games. He now ranks in the PSAC's top 10 in hits, runs, RBIs and steals.
Ted Williams ranks second in the PSAC in walks, and the junior not only holds the team's longest consecutive games reached base streak at 14, he is now on an 11-game streak. He has at least one hit in eight of the last 10 games.
• Millersville has started three freshmen in left field for 31 of 32 games. The trio of Manning Brooks, Cole Friese and Brandon White have combined to hit 36-for-121 (.297) with 21 RBIs. Friese is 7-for-7 in steals and has the most RBIs of the group with 12. Brookens has started five more games (18) and owns a .305 average. The Marauders are 4-0 with White in the lineup, 10-5 with Brookens in left and 7-6 with Friese in left.
• Freshman starting pitcher Tyler Yankosky has been a revelation since the start of PSAC East play. Over his first four starts, his longest was 4 innings. But against the PSAC East, Yankosky is 1-0 with a 2.12 ERA over 17 innings and three starts. Opponents have hit just .125 against him as he has given up just seven hits.

SERIES HISTORY
• Millersville has won each regular season series since 2011, going 21-7-1 in that stretch. Last season, East Stroudsburg won game one of the series by a 7-2 score, but Millersville won the next three regular season games and defeated the Warriors 15-8 in the second round of the PSAC Tournament. Both teams reached the NCAA Atlantic Regional but did not play. The teams have met in each of the last two postseasons. The Marauders beat the Warriors 13-4 in the 2015 PSAC Championship.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
• East Stroudsburg most recently took three of four from Kutztown, winning both home games by a combined 15-3. Since being swept by West Chester to open PSAC East play, ESU is 5-2-1. Its pitching staff has held opponents to no more than three runs in five consecutive games.
• Senior pitcher Tyler Eckman is having a career year. He has improved his ERA each season of his career and is 4-0 with a 1.38 ERA in six starts so far in 2017. He now leads the PSAC in ERA. Millersville is familiar with Eckman, having defeated him in last season's PSAC Tournament, scoring eight runs on eight hits and four walks in 2 1/3 innings. In the regular season, Eckman held Millersville to one earned run but lost a 2-1 decision against Cordell Shannon. Eckman struck out two and gave up seven hits in 5 1/3 while Shannon struck out six and gave up five hits over 6 1/3.
• Ian Allen ranks seventh in the PSAC with a .410 average and he is also fourth in RBIs and fourth in doubles with 13. Dylan Tamecki missed nearly all of 2016 with an injury but was an all-region selection 2015. He ranks 10th in the PSAC in average. Connor Crookham, the 2016 All-PSAC East shortstop and 2017 NCBWA preseason All-America First Team selection, has made just 11 starts, hitting .267.
